Shillong, May 18: Today Maruti 800 (MLO4A – 3573) heading towards Shillong from Jowai was involved in a head on collision with a TATA Sumo (MLO5K – 1151) coming from the opposite direction at Puriang under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Mawryngkneng helped in shifting the driver of the Maruti car Kin Lhuid (50years/male) and the co-passenger Paia Rymbai (42years/male) to Mawryngkneng P.H.C.
Raja Thapa (32years/male) sustained injuries after he was hit by a moving vehicle while walking on the side of the road at Nongmynsong, Shillong . The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Lawmali helped in shifting Raja Thapa to Shillong Civil Hospital.
To avoid a collision with a cycle coming from the opposite direction, a driver of an autorickshaw sustained injuries when the vehicle went off to the side of the road at Marmain under Umling Block, Ri-Bhoi. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Nongpoh helped in shifting Norin Kerang (31years/male) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital.
A Maruti 800 (ML05G – 7931) travelling towards Baniun collided with a tanker truck (AS-80-7716) coming from the opposite direction at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong .The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Civil Hospital, Shillong helped in shifting Diana Shullai (23years/female), Kordorneal Shullai (34years/male), Nancy Lyngwa (28years/female) and Wenaki Shullai (29years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.(SP News)
