Shillong, November 03: Two passengers of a TATA Sumo travelling towards Shillong from Guwahati sustained injuries when the vehicle was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction on the driver side at Umran Diary under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District on the 3rd of November. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Umsning helped in shifting Usan Bhandari (48) and Indra Rai to Umsning CHC.
In another incident an auto rickshaw (MLO8 – 7758) travelling downhill hit a wall when it develop some technical snag Tura Government College Hostel at Tetengaja under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on the 2nd of November. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Tura helped in shifting a passenger Renu R. Marak 56years to Tura Civil Hospital.
A driver of a Maruti Alto which was travelling towards Nongstoin from Marngor sustained injuries when the vehicle went off road and down a cliff at Tiehsaw under Mawthadraishan Block, West Khasi Hills on the 2nd of November, The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Markasa helped in shifting the driver Biles Kharhujon (20years/male) to Markasa PHC and then to Tirot Singh Memorial Hospital, Mairang.
In a hit and run case Eddie Nongspung (28years sustained injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while walking on the side of the road near the junction going to Ganesh Das Hospital, Lawmali in Shillong on the 2nd of November, 2012 The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Lawmali helped in shifting Eddie Nongspung to Shillong Civil Hospital.(SP News)
