Shillong, Nov 21: A Maruti Alto tourist taxi (MLO6 – 4789) which was heading towards Shillong from Nongstoin but on reaching Langtor under Mairang block, West Khasi Hills the vehicle collided into chips of stone, piled up on the side of the road. The incident took place on the 29th of November, 2013 at 5:03 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Mairang helped in shifting John Milton Pakyntein (44 years/male) to Tirot Singh Memorial Hospital, Mairang and John Merban L. Nonglait (41 years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In a hit and run case reported from Umullein in Mairang under Mairang Block, West Khasi Hills, Sken Warjri (80 years/male) sustained serious injuries after he was hit by a moving vehicle while walking on the side of the road. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Mairang helped in shifting Sken Warjri to Tirot Singh Memorial Hospital, Mairang. The incident happened on the 20th of November, 2013 at 4:09 P.M. Sken Warjri lost his life in the hospital due to the accident.
A driver of a Maruti 800 (MLO5H – 3844) sustained injuries when the vehicle hit an electric pole on the side of the road at Mawlai Mawiong, Shillong. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Shillong helped in shifting the driver Homestarwell Warjri (49 years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
