Tura April 04: The Deputy Commissioner, East Garo Hills, Williamnagar has informed that Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA), Shillong in collaboration with the District Basin Development Unit, East Garo Hills will be organizing ”Seed Festival” in 3 locations of the district under the Meghalaya Integrated and Basin Development and Livelihood Program.
Under the Samanda C&RD Block the festival will be held at Williamnagar Market Parking on 6th April 2013. At Songsak C&RD Block the festival will be held at Songsak Market on 9th April 2013 and under the Rongjeng C&RD Block the festival will be held at Rongjeng Market Field on 13th April 2013.
During the seed festival, farmers could avail various technical knowhow of modern method of cultivation practises or post harvest management practises. (SP News)
