Shillong,nov,07:The Meghalaya CO-operative Apex Bank LTD.Has been selected for rhe National Award for Empowerment of person with disability2013 by the Ministry of social justice and Empowerment and ministry for the person with disability, government of India as best state canalizing Agency of National Handicapped finance and development Corporation (NHFDC).
The Award were presented by the presidend of India ,Shrii Pranap Mukharjee at Bigyan Bhavan New Delhi on 3rd of this month .The Award was receive by Shri ,W.K kyndiah Chairman MCAB on behalf of the bank and the award distribution ceremony was also attended by Shri DF War .Managing director and shri M Barbhuiya ,Dy General manager Nodal officer NHFDC.
The Meghalaya Cooperative Apex bank LTD .Had started implementing NHFDC schemes ffor the year 2010-2011 . the state as a state Channelising Agency (SCA)Of NHFDC is progressively increasing its loans to person with disability in the state of Meghalaya . In the financial year 2012-2013 ,all 75 % project receive from person with disabhility were sanction by the Bank .
It was successful in utilization of 100% funds receive from NHFDC with recovered of 100% the bank has established itself as a good model for the other state especially in the north Eastern Region.(SP News)
