Shillong, December 17, 2013: Meghalaya Urban Development Authority, Shillong has informed that the Meghalaya Building Byelaws 201 1 is being implemented in accordance with the Meghalaya Town and Country Planning Act 1973 and as amended and in consonance with the Disaster Management Act 2005.
All types of building construction in the urban areas of Nongthymmai, NongmynsongPynthorumkhh, Madanryting , Mawlai, Nongkseh, Umlyngka,Lummawbah, Lawsohtun, Mawpat, Umpling, Lapalang,Rynjah, New Shillong Township, and within the Shiliong Master Plan Area require prior permission of the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority, Shillong with immediate effect.(SP News)
