Meghalaya Government neglecting export point

 

Shillong,Feb18:The export road in Meghalaya particularly im East Khasi hill District  and South West Khasi Hill District are in dilapidated condition, in which exporter has to spend more on Vehicle maintenance.

To facilitate and commerce the Government of Meghalaya has created the Department of Trade, Commerce and industries with and in to developed trade route specially all those road that goes to Bangladesh.

In spite of having this Department, Trade and Commerce the Government has done nothing to maintain, specially the road at Borsora Land Custom station and Bholagangh under shella LCS.

When the SP News Agency visited the Bholagangh export point saw that the road that goes to Bangladesh is in very pathetic condition. Many of the drivers said that due to the bad road condition they find so difficult in transporting lime stone from the area to Bangladesh.

Due to this road condition shipments of materials to Bangladesh its takes to days at the span of just seven to eight kilometer to reach Bangladesh from Bhologangh because most of the truck got standed  on the road side.(SP News)
