Shillong, June 01: The Meghalaya police on may 31 at around 10.30 pm, raided the house of Lalsawmliana Hmar at Madanrting, Shillong. The police suspected that he was one of the drugs peddler from his residence the police seized nine grams of suspected Heroin from his possession.
On the same day at around 11 pm, Police raided the house of Thangboi Vaipher at Rngijynriew, Nongthymmai, Shillong, from where they recovered and seized four Golden Tobacco containers with two grams of suspected Heroin. In this connection, Police arrested Thangboi Vaipher.
In another incident Mr Shibun Shadap lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on May 30 at about 5 pm, unknown miscreants murdered his mother smti Yorika Shadap (45 yrs), at Sawkilo in East Jaintia Hills District . The miscreants also took away Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand) only and one finger ring from the deceased.(SP News)
