Shillong, May 10: Aming at lending a hand to the farmers of Rapleng village to uplift their farming the Meghalaya Youth Foundation in collaboration with Seng Kynthei Shnong of Rapleng Village recently conducted a Distribution programme of Clothes, Agricultural Seeds and Medicines at Rapleng Village, East Khasi Hills District.
Speaking on the occasion Secretary Seng Kynthei Wanribha welcomed the initiative taken by MYF to conduct the programme in their village and hoped that the MYF would continue to work for the benefits of the villagers.
Besides, Joannes JTL Lamare said that MYF is glad that it was able to set foot in the village and help the local villagers. He said that MYF would introduce long-term projects in the village similar to the other projects that MYF had initiated in other villages, in the days to come and hoped that the villagers would bebenefitted by it.
“The Economic conditions of the masses have to improve so that the people can stand on their own feet and that they will not be stagnated in the same slag of poverty”, he added.
The Clothes, Agricultural Seeds and Medicines were distributed by MYF Chairman, Joannes JTLLamare in the presence of the President of Seng Kynthei of Rapleng Village, Secretary Seng Kynthei Rapleng Village Kong Wanribha Lyngdoh who initiated the conduct of the Programme, MYF Members and local residents of the village.(SP News)
