Shillong, May 01: Three unknown miscreants in a vehicle (ML-05D-6307) on April 30th around 2 pm, stole cash Rs 17,000/- and two cell phones belonging to Babilin Nadon, while Members of World Vision were on sightseeing trip at Mawphlang Sacred Groves (EKH). In this connection, Police arrested two persons namely, Skhemlang Lyngdoh Marshillong 18 years of age and Babiangdor Khyriem 22 years of age.
In another incident a woman lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on April 29th around 2 pm against one Dean Alley Synnah who entered her quarter at GAD Quarters at Nongrimmaw Block-A, Laitumkhrah and eve teased her daughter. When her husband intervened, the accused assaulted him wherein he sustained injuries. On the same day around 8 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Michael Sohtun 28 years of age at Mawlynrei (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to the Shillong Civil Hospital.(SP News)
