Shillong, May 19: The Meghalaya Union of Journalist (MUJ) in the emergency meetingheld today condemn the attacked on the Dainik Ganadoot, a Bengali daily’s news paper brought out from the state of Tripura. The meeting was chair by the General Secretary Mr Raju Sharma.
The MUJ asked the government of Tripura to nap the culprit and punished them according to law. The MUJ term the attacker as coward.
Today at around 3.30 Pm in the afternoon in Tripura capital Agartala, a group of unidentified miscreants attacked a newspaper office and killed three of its staff members.
Two unknown miscreant inter the office of the Dainik Ganadoot, a Bengali daily’s in search of the editor Sushil Chowdhury who was not present at the office . When they found that the Editors was not in office they attacked the staff after killing three of the staff they fled away.
The target of thus miscreant is the Editor of the news paper but they could not fine him. The incident left the entire media in Tripura at a shock.(SP News)
