Shillong, April 26: The medical fraternity of Meghalaya under the banner of Meghalaya Meical Services Association (MMSA) organised its 18th Scientific conference cum general body meeting which kicked started at Pinewood Hotel on Friday.
Attended by medical fraternity of the state, the conference aimed at emphasising on the theme “Mission of action with passion”.
During the annual Scientific conference cum general body meeting organised by the Meghalaya Meical Services Association (MMSA) doctors specialised in differernt areas highligted on the need to build up their profession not only in their professional way but with passion.
While deliberating at lenght on the need for doctors to take their profession with passion, Dr Doricia Pariat Director of Health Services (Research), Meghalaya sai, “A pssion for science is usually not the main force behind someone’s decision to pursue medicine, but rather something that compements his or her desire to help others” adding that to have passion means to have a our heart which is unison with our head.
She also highlighted on the difficulties encounter by the doctors especially those serving in rural areas in terms of medical equipments and infrastructures.
She therefore she urged upon the government to look into the matter by providing state of the art equipments to health centres especially iin rural areas.(SP News)
