MMSA will stop working on 11 this month

Shillong, Jan 3: Showing strong resentment over the government’s delay in taking action against the alleged criminals involved in looting and assaulting one Dr Apchan A Sangma  a Medical and Health officer of Mahendraganj CHC, West Garo Hills, the Meghalaya Medical Services Association (MMSA )has decided to cease work for 24 hours on January 11.

Informing this on Thursday, General secretary of MMSA, Dr.A. War said , “As a mark of protest we have decided to cease work for 24 hours  from 10 AM of January 11 to 10 AM of January 12,” adding that from January 12 onwards the association will work from 10 am to 5pm only.

MMSA, in a letter to the Commissioner and Secretary, Health and Family Welfare department alleged that till date no action has been taken against the criminals involved in looting and assaulting the Medical and Health officer.(SP News)
