Shillong, Dec 17: The ANVC Breakaway fraction has alleged that the State Government trying to wipe out ANVC(B) before the coming election so that ANVC.B is hushed off and Congress gets majority.
In a press communiqué sent to media houses, ANVC B said, “Police hunt for us is eminent by recent arrest of our cadre Tengseng T Sangma from Gasuapara. Police is picking up ANVC.B cadres whenever and wherever possible on minor pretext and putting them behind bars. This is a desperate attempt by State Government to wipe out ANVC(B) before the coming election so that ANVC.(B) is hushed off and Congress gets majority.”
Expressing their fury over the functioning of the Chief Minister , the outfit said, “ Mr. Chief Minister have cheated our organization with his political gigs.”
The outfit said, “ ANVC.B stress on the settlement to be sped up or Govt must prepare for a walk out. Dr Mukul Sangma must remember what we did for him instead of making us targets. “
The release added, “The arrested cadre was visiting his family for Christmas and was not having any demand note during arrest. Police claiming an extortion note is a false statement as we do not have demand notes and those visiting a family never carry any documents. “
The also warn the Government and Police functionaries saying, “Government, police and ANVCs must Stop pushing us as it will only make things worse in Garo Hills.”(SP News)
