Shillong, June 14: Mr FIarson K Jana lodge a complains with the election commission of India aginst the Sub Divisional Officer (Election) Mariang for not pay his due according to the sanction made by the election commission.
According to the Right to Information (RTI) document he (Fiarson0 has spent eight days for election duty during the MLA election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly which was held on the 23th February 2013, but the election office of the SDO Mairang has pay him only 4days.
As per the letter from the election commission of India that the state government should pay Rs 250 perday per head for the presiding officer and Rs 175 per day per head for the polling officer and Rs 100 for the polling officer class IV.
But when the SDO in charge election pay for their work they pay only four days . Base on the document received through the RTI Mr Fairson has lodge a complains with the election commission of India for redressed his grievances.
Talking to media person Mr Fairson said that he has attended eight days for election duty including four days of training at Mairang, according to the election commission instruction he should get Rs 2000 and two hunred for food in the polling day but the office pay only Rs.1000 and they have made the deduction of Rs 1200.(SP News)
