Shillong, May 30: Smti Arusha M. Sangma has lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah Police Station that on the 26 of this month , she received a telephone call from one Kumal Ch. Momin who demanded Rs. 5 lakh (Rupees Five lakh) only, from her. The caller also threatened to kidnap and kill her family members, if she failed to fulfill his demand.
In another incitement around 12.30 am, today City Patrol signaled one Tata Indica car (ML-05E-6273) driven by Rahul Biswa to stop, but the driver refused. On being chased by the City Patrol, the car dashed against the City Patrol vehicle.
From the vehicles r, Police detained four occupants of the car, A minor aged 17, Miss Carry Diengdoh 20 , Miss Alana Mawphlang 21 and Miss Suzana Diengdoh 28 while the driver of the car fled away.(SP News)
