MUDA reply to Deputy Commissioner, trespasses do not deserved rehabilitation

 

 

Shillong, Nov 11: The secretary of the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority Muda letter to the Deouty Commissioner EK Hills(MUDA) in his letter sent to the deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District, while furnishing him on the issued raised by the NGO on the Mawlong-Mawtari and Umsawli eviction drive wide letter No. MUDA/ Mon/18/2009-10/P08.

The secretary said that he would like to respond to the memorandum as below to all the point seek by the agitating group the reply is state as follow.

Service of notice to trespasses is not mandatory they can be evicted at any time.

Trespasses can be evicted on any day, MUDA has fixed 8/11/11 for the exercise of connivance to all concern.

Copy enclosed, it may be noted that 20 women private security were deploy as stand by just to assist the police incase the situation arises. On the day of the incident the private security were standing away from the spot. They were not actively involved in the exercise.

Trespasses do not deserved rehabilitation, if any deserving person required assistant from the department they may approach the department in proper procedure not by trespassing into somebody’s property.

The Secretary  of the MUDA, refues to comment on the para 4 and5 and also on the para 7,8 and 9. In these para the secretary said that No comments.

These letter was sent to day by the secretary MUDA to the Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills and in turn the Deputy Commissioner hand it ovr to the agitating leaders Angela Rangnad  and others (SP News)
