Shillong, November 01: The Guwahati High Court Shillong Bench has fix the 21 of this month for the next hearing of the Umsaw khwan land deal which file by the Umsaw khwan village dorbar against the state government. The case was register as Misc Case No (SH) 418 of 2012, in WP(C) No (SH) 299 of 2012.
Mr SS Dey and five others appear on behalf on the petitioner and from the respondent appear by Mr KS Kynjing advocate general government of Meghalaya on behalf of the respondent, government of Meghalaya. From the respondent argued that the impugned order has been issued to protect public money which he claims that it was misappropriated by means of fraud.
He also plead that the best course of action for the time being is for the respondent authorities to file the show cause detailing the circumstances under which the land acquisition was done and payment thereof made.
The hon’ble Mr Justice T Vaiphe while giving his order has fix 21 of this month for the next hearing of the case, at the same time three weeks’ time to file their show cause against the application for interim order and the impugned order date 8.10.2012 and 15.10.2012 shall not be given effect to.(SP News)
