Shillong, May 20: Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills, District Shillong has informed that the Padma Awards, namely Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri will be announced on the occasion of the Republic Day 2015.
The awards seek to recognize work of any distinction and are given for distinguished and Exceptional achievements’/services in all fields of disciplines such as Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering, Public Affairs, Civil Service, Trade and Industry.
All persons without any distinction of race, occupation, position or sex are eligible for these awards. Intending Individuals from East Khasi Hills District who desire their names to be recommended to the Government for the Award are requested to .sent their nominations to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District Shillong on or before the 31th August 20 14.
