Shillong, November 1st: A Maruti Alto travelling towards Shillong was involved in an accident with a TATA Sumo coming from the opposite direction near the Toyota showroom at Mawiong Rim, Shillong on the 31st of October, 2012 at 7:12 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Shillong Civil Hospital helped in shifting Alem Longkumer ,and Meren Changki to Bethany Hospital, Shillong. Meren Changki passed away at the hospital.
In another incident an oil tanker (MLO4A – 5494) coming from Guwahati and travelling towards Khliehrait was involved in a head on collision with a truck (NLO1G – 6753) which was proceeding towards Guwahati at Lad Nongkrem on the 31st of October, 2012 at 10:10 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Smit helped in shifting the driver of the oil tanker Shembor Lyngdoh) to Civil Hospital, Shillong.(SP News)
