Shillong, Feb 1: One person identified as Ariverson Wahlang (26) from Mawiong Lumsyntiew, Nongstoin was murdered by three of his companions who were in an inebriated condition at Nanbah, Nongstoin opposite the Taxi Stand on Thursday.
Police sources informed that the four drunken friends were passing through the Nanbah when they quarreled because of reasons unknown and later stabbed one of their companion, Wahlang with a dagger at around 8.15 pm.
In relation to this case one Khraw Lyngkhoi (20 ) surrendered at Nongstoin PS today.
Besides, it was also informed that the incident was first witnessed by the taxi drivers who immediately informed the police. “The three youth have escaped and the victim had been taken to Nongstoin Civil Hospital on the same night”, police said.
The police are still investigating into the matter.(SP News)
