Shillong, May 15: During the day, he attended two major functions, besides visiting our Shillong Main & Laitumkhrah Branches, where he interacted with the customers and staff.
Shri Malhotra inaugurated the new premises of Retail Assets and Small and Medium Enterprises City Credit Center (RASMECCC), which has recently shifted from Demseiniong to the more centrally located Shillong Main Branch premises. Dovetailed with the inauguration, another programme was held, in which the DMD felicitated the top three ranked students from the Science and Commerce streams in the recently declared HSSLC 2014 examinations conducted by MBOSE, signifying the Bank’s recognition of their outstanding performance.
RASMECCC is a specialized loan processing, sanctioning and maintenance hub, which deals with the Personal and SME loans of 21 city based branches, handling more than 20000 loan accounts, including big branches like Shillong, Laitumkhrah, G.S. Road, Malki, Garikhana, Burra Bazar etc.
The centralization of loan processing, sanctioning and maintenance enables the Bank to give better customer service, besides the convenience of having multiple functions under one roof. Branches are also relieved by having their processing/sanctioning/maintenance job shifted away from them, leaving them with more time to market the Bank’s products and concentrate on business development. The new location of RASMECCC will definitely make it well connected with all parts of the city, which will be of special convenience for our customers. Besides, the Bank’s Sales and marketing hub, known as Multi Product Sales Team (MPST) will also be shifted to the same new location, which will definitely be an additional convenience for our customers.
programme was also held at Jyoti Sroat School, Laitumkhrah, an unit of Bethany Society, where the Bank donated a Maruti EECO vehicle and utility furniture to the school. This was done under the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, under which it has been consistently contributing to the upliftment of society in various ways, including donation of ambulances, service equipment, utility vehicles etc. to voluntary and humanitarian societies, groups and organisations. Bethany Society and Jyoti Sroat School in one such organization that has contributed tremendously to the care and development of physically and mentally challenged children, in Meghalaya in general and Shillong in particular. The Bank decided to contribute to their yeoman efforts by carrying out the above referred donation, in keeping with its commitment towards societal development and strengthening infrastructure for the needy and neglected.
