Pala: if I am not given ticket I will not contest election

Shillong, Jan 22: The AICC secretary-in-charge of Meghalya Vijay Laxmi Sadho visited Meghalaya on Wednesday to discuss the candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

During her two day visit to the state capital, Sadho held one to one discussion with the chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues, Meghalaya Pradesh congress Committee leaders, Block Congress committee leader from various district, leaders of various frontal organisations of Congress in the state which includes leaders of youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Congress Seva dal etc.

The meeting that began this evening have witness a visible presence of congress leaders at hotel pinewood Shillong.

According to the sources, the leaders have expressed their opinion in the selection of the candidates among those applied for party ticket.

Congress MP, Vincent Pala was also present on the occasion.  Talking to media person Pala said, if  I am not given ticket I will not contest election.

For Shillong seat, the party High Command has to decide the candidate from among three aspirants sitting MP Vincent Pala, John F Kharshiing and  Charles Pyngrope.࠼/p>

For Tura seat there are several aspirants but choice might zero on Daryl William Cheran Momin, grandson of Capt Williamson Sangma or Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma brother Zenith Sangma.(SP News)
