Shillong, August 15: The District Administration of the East Khasi Hills District has granted the permission to the NGO’s to hold public meeting at the Student Filed, Jaiaw tomorrow to apprise the public on the issue of the Inner Line Permit.
The District administration is of the view that since the Chief Minister og Meghalaya has call for the meeting to the NGOs to discuss the ILP issue and they have also received the invitation letter sent to them.
The district administration is of the considerate view that allowing any procession or rally at other venues at this point of time has the potential to create law and order problem in the city.
The NGO when they have applied for the permission form the District administration they have mention that they will have their public meeting and the Rally, which the District administration grant permission for the public meeting but denied the Rally.(SP News)
