Shillong, Sept 02: The twelve hours state wide band call by the ten Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) of Meghalaya to put pressure on the state government to implement the Inner Line Permit (ILP) start today at 5-am in the morning and will end at 5-pm in the evening.
On the eve of the 12-hours band today at mid-night unknown miscreant lobbed Perol bomb at one local taxi ML05E-0226 at Langkyrdieng, the bomper of the Local Taxi was partially damage.
The police has arrested Wanlambok Wansai-21, Samllingstar Nonsiang-24, Esteliborn Khonglam-22 of Mawlai Iewrynhep, cought by Special Operation Team (SOT) while they were rolling burn tyre to the National High way.
While conducting checking of vehicles at seven mile junction the Police apprehended Sankupar Lyngdoh-28, Walstar Nongdhar -28, Anthony Sangma-32, Balan Kharkongor -28, since the police has recover three bottle containing kerosene oil from the Maruti Van ML05-H-8838 which they travel.
The police have apprehended them for suspecting that their intention is to commit arson. All the exit and entry point in the capital Shillong was seal by the police to see that all person travelling in their vehicles do not carry with them any dangerous items that cause danger to live and property.(SP News)
