Shillong, July 05: The Meghalaya police today arrested Deibor Mitre Kyndiah who is working as the enforcement checker at the District Transport Office Shillong under the prevention Corruption Act.
According to police Mr Kyndiah has demanded Rs 10000/- from Mr V Arya who applied for an Assurance letter and after negotiating the amount was reduce to Rs. 5000/- the trap case was laid and the accessed was arrested.
After arresting the police also ceased Rs.21000/- from his pocket . The police has taken Mr Kyndiah and the case was register against him for further investigation. (SP News)
