Police can arrest Chandra Mohan Jha but he will be release on bail

 

Shillong, July 24: The Supreme Court on the 19th of this month while take up the Petition (S) for special leave to appeal (Crl) No (s)5245/2013 from the judgment order  dated 16/05/2013 in writ AB(SH) No 54/2013 of the High Court of Meghalaya.

In the case Chandra Mohan Jha file the petition in the Supreme Court versus the state of Meghalaya as the respondent. The two hon’ble justice of the supreme court Justice A K Patniak and Justice M Y Eqbal after hearing the petitioner the court has made the order.

In the mean while, in the event the petitioner is arrested in connection with the FIR CID Case No. 2(4) of 2013 under section 420,406/466 IPC he will be release on bail to the satisfaction of the arresting authority.

From the petitioner who represent in the case are Mr Uday U Lalit senior advocate, Mr Amit Kumar, Mr Atul Kumar, Ms Rekha Bakshi, Mr Ashish Kumar and Mr Ankit Rajagaria all are advocate.

Interestingly from the state government there is no advocate to represent the state government when the matter is taken up by the hon’ble  supreme court.(SP News)
