Shillong November 22: The Meghalaya state police arrested Mr Lamphrang Kharbani the president of Hynniewtrep Achick National Movement (HANM) from Upper Shillong Umlyngka and from him they recover 7.65 pistols and six lives ammunition.
The Superintendent of Police in charge Crime V. Syiem told reporters that after getting information the Special Operation Team when to his resident at Umlyngka and arrested him. His his statement to the police he admitted that he bouth the weapons from one person known as Pynshai Rani.
The HANM president told the police that he bought it for Rs.40000 (forty Thousand only) the police is still finding out the reason why he bought the weapons. The Pistol was size from his newly constructed house at Mawdiangdiang.
Since the arrested person complains of abdomen pain he was shifted to hospital for treatment.(SP News)
