Tura , June 26: Un known miscreant yester day abducted the supervisor of the Railway project from Mendipathar under East Garo Hills. The abducted person known as Mr J. Narayan Rai age 60 he hail from Muzzafarpur District of Bihar.
The abduction taken place between Tilapara and Bakenang under Mendipathar police station. The combing operation from the Meghalaya police and jointly with the Assam police is on to rescued the abducted person.
In another incident Mr Teilang Iawphniaw og Nongrah attempted suicide by slitting his throat, he was seriously injured and was taken to civil hospital for treat met. The police is investigating the matter.(SP News)
