Shillong, November 20: The ministry of Water Resources government of India is well aware that water is one of the major problems in India; the government till date fines it difficult to provide safe drinking water to its citizen.
In order to create an awareness among the public to know how to preserved water, the Central Ground Water Board will organized painting competition for class IV to class VI tomorrow at Anton Hall Laitumkhrah Shillong.
The Objective of holding this painting competition is to make people aware that water is so precious to our life and we need it to harvest in a proper manner so that the future generation will not suffer.
People know that Sohra is the wettest place on earth but there is scarcity of drinking water in the area. People must be educate so that water will not be wasted, said Dr MA Farooqi.(SP News)
