Shillong, May 04: The Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills District said that recently some instances of selling of fake detergent powder and other items of household uses in packets by the salespersons of some dubious companies have come to the knowledge of the administration, an this is more prominent in the rural areas.
The District administration appeal to public and rural shopkeepers that they should be very vigilant while dealing with these kind of salespersons and should report to the authorities immediately with all details. they should not make purchases from the unknown persons or dealers who might be impersonating as dealers of reputed companies.
The administration also warns such persons who are indulging into such activities and strict action would be taken against such persons.(SP News)
