Shillong, May 25: If one has to look back to the construction of Special Area Games (SAG) of Sports Authority of India, it is a matter of great concern and big surprise to see that its completion report will have another long way to see the light of the day.
Many hopes that this will be the centre where talents will be scouted and taken into the it for being trained with latest state of the arts in sports excellence. North East have a natural potentials in martial arts, archery and other games also.
Manipur have shown the way how they can cope up the pressures in martial arts, especially in World Police Games and in other International arenas. When the youths of Meghalaya and other North Eastern States will be able to get themselves exposed to such standard setups in sports and games.
How many officials and ministers do we expect to visit SAG NEHU Campus to get it completed? On behalf of sports lovers, athletes of Meghalaya in particular and North East in general, both State and Central government to go another extra mile or on war footing as it has been told and promised on many occasions that centre completed soon.(SP News)
