Shillong Sept 23: Condemning the recent attack on an ambulance on 19th September last, the Seng Samla of Malki today has said that the act, perpetrated by miscreants who took advantage of the situation is inexcusable.
Seng Samla Malki president K Warlarpih categorically said that there are no ulterior motives but someone with the objective of damaging and vandalism.
“Even if they had grudge they should have been thoughtful about the fact that it was an ambulance since it had a blue siren which is evidence,” Warlarpih said.
Warlarpih further added, “We will not tolerate those miscreants who they mistook the ambulance for a government vehicle since a government vehicle has a red siren whereas an ambulance has a blue siren.”
“If the stones had hit someone in the ambulance who was being taken to a hospital then who would take responsibility for that?” asked Warlarpih.
The Seng Samla Lumbalang Malki has strongly denounced the incident where a 52 year old resident of Lumbalang Malki, Bigstar Lyndoh was assaulted by a conductor and driver of the government run SPTS bus on 22 September evening
The Seng Samla Malki along with the Seng Samla Dong Lumbalang has urged the locals that if in the future they should be calm and respect each other rather than getting violent.(SP News)
