Shillong, Jan 9: Six person were injured at series road traffic accidents that took place in differnt places in the an around the city that occured on January 7 and 8.
In one of the incident a Mahindra Max bearing a registration number ML10A – 6605) travelling towards Shillong was involved in a head on collision with a Maruti Alto (ML05H – 7721) coming from the opposite direction near the Mawphor Press at Mawlai Shillong.
During the incident three persons identified as Bimi Nongbasap (30years/female), Wanlambok Nongbasap (10years/male) and Elicia Dkhar (18years/female) and was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for further medical tratment.
In another incident a truck coming from Guwahati and travelling towards Kwang went off road and into a paddy field on the side of the road after it overturned near ICAR at Barapani.
Yet in two other hit and run case an unknown male victim sustained injuries when the scooter he was riding was hit by another vehicle at Lad Umsaw under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District and Deeperson Marak (7years/male) and Anbula Marak (58years/female) sustained injuries after they were hit a moving vehicle while they were walking on the side of the road at Umling under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District
In another case a motorist and a pillion rider sustained injuries after they fell off the motorbike when it skidded on a turning near the DC Office at Williamnagar.
Meanwhile, in another incident that occured at Pyndeng Umiong under Mairang Block, West Khasi Hills today, Alif Raja (45years/male) sustained injuries after he jumped off a bus he was travelling in.(SP News)
