Shillong, May 29: Smt. Pildiana Kharbuki has lodged a complaint with the Laban Police Station that on the 25th of this month around 8.30 amin the morning one person approached her and hand the enveloped to her.
When she open the enveloped she found that the letter was a demand note which mention that she has to pay Rs.50 lakh and she was also threaten that if she fail to comply with the demand her family members will be kidnap. The police is investigating the matter.
In another incident on the 26th of this month at about 3 pm, one Hoding Diengngan shot Smt. Khristina Diengngan at Pyndeng Shallang village West Khasi Hills District as a result, the victim sustained bullet injuries on her head and was rushed to Civil Hospital , Nongstoin.(SP News)
