State government spent Rs 20 cores on M-TABs distributed to Class XII student

Shillong, Oct  02: The state government spent Rs.20 cores in buying the M-TABs that will be given to 24000 Class XII student in the state. The distribution was started from East Khasi Hills today at Polo ground where 8000 student  come to collect the M-TABs.

The East Khasi Hills District has more than 11000 Class XII students, the others District will be distributed in this coming days. The money that was used for buying of these M-TABs is from the state plan.

The Chief minister want that  the student of Meghalaya will cope up with the changing world in the information technology. The government will provide to all school and colleges both in the government and private sector with wifi facilities to enable them to connect internet facility in the class room.

The Chief minister lamented that all service provider in the north Eastern region are not giving there services according to the need of the people. In this line state government con do nothing the only thing they can do is to write to the central Government.(SP News)
