Shillong, July 23: Mr Prasanta Gangopadhyay National Manager reveal that the Techno India Group will invest Rs 1000 cores in the Techno Global University in Meghalaya.
While addressing the media he said that thorough the government of Meghalaya has pass the Techno Global University, bill in 2008 but they could not start the University due to the land constrain. But at present they have got the land at Tynring which is approximately 56 akar.
The admission process is on and they will start the class from the month of August next. The intake capacity is 720 student. At present they run the university from the rented building at Mawlai. Mr Gangopadhyay said that they will shift to the permanent site within one year.
While answering to quires, Mr Gangopadhyay said the authority of the University has sent the complaint to the Visitor governor of Meghalaya, The DGP of police and the minister concern about the fake mark sheet issued that was issued in the name of the Techno Global University.
Mr Gangopadhyay said that the website of the University is www. Technoglobaluniversity.com and the fake one which they have asked the state government authority to fine out who did the mischief is www.technoglobaluniversity.org. The National Manager said that they are hopeful that the state government will catch hold of the culprit.
About the rule and regulation Mr Gangopadhyay assured that what ever rule the state government have they university will abide by it and regulation laid down by the UGC.
National Manager Techno India Group said that TGU has been in partnership with reputed institutes like NITs, IIITs, Central/State Government Funded Technical (GFTIs) etc. Meanwhile, it was also informed that the seat allocations and admission process are being done through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
