Shillong, Sept 20: The twelve hours state wide bandh call by the NGOs to put pressure on the state government to implement the Inner Line Permit in the state pass off peacefully during Bandh hours.
In these twelve hours bandh the Capital Shillong look deserted where government office were closed expect the main secretariat and the Deputy Commissioner office which open with thin attendance . Business establishment were closed down.
The Children, young and old have fun time to play on the road since on normal days they are full of traffic. Vehicles that move around are only Ambulance and police vehicles which patrol the city.
From the District Administration has beef up with tight security to see that no untoward incident will take place. The police personal are doing the patrolling in all the sensitive area of the city. (SP News)
