Shillong, Dec 11: The Annual function of Rhino Army pre-primary school Shillong was haeld on 09 Dec 2013. Originally scheduled for 10 Dec ,the function had to be advanced to 09 Dec because of the ‘Bandh’ Call.
The students in the age group of 3 to 5 years performed on staged. The school children anchored the programme from welcoming to thanking the guests and parents. The theme of the evening was ’India,..Journey…A bliss’ involved performance of dances of seven states of North East states.
The dances of other states of India Kashmir, Goa, Punjab, etc were also performed by the students. Total participants performing were about 170. The chief guest on the occasion was Mrs Anupam Panwar Regional President AWWA.
While speaking on the occasion she applauded the performance by pre-primary school children and lauded the efforts of the Principal (ex Capt) Mrs Sukhjit Sanewal and teachers for producing a wonderful programme by the very young children . Several senior Army officers and families and parents attended the annual function.(SP News)
