Shillong, Nov 08: In a statement released, the outfit has said, “Last night, one group of GNLA and ULFA numbering to ten entered West Khasi Hills area via Moheskola in a sumo in order to cross over to Bangladesh, who also killed two BSF personnel taking away two weapons. GNLA is not alone but is being backed by foreign elements; ULFA is just one of them.”
The ANVC Breakaway fraction has alleged that GNLA is targeting to malign ANVC.B.
The fraction in a press statement has said that GNLA is randomly killing to distract and to disrupt law and order in the State.
ANVC B said, “The ambush on police was jointly carried by GNLA and ULFA. Specially trained ULFA team was sent to assist GNLA in this mission and are now moving in different directions with more attacks on men in uniform and civilians, which could be seen as an attempt to distract the on going operation.”
According to the outfit, the attackers have moved out of the area, some have crossed to Bangladesh and others are desperate to get to a safer place within Meghalaya.
Asserting that the overground GNLA members are assisting GNLA cadres in their movement, they said, “Overground GNLAs are assisting them to move out of the area. Their movement is also being helped by some insider who is giving specific information on patrolling, police checking and operational plans.”(SP News)
