The beauty of Khasi religion they have the division labour, but not caste system

Shillong, June 15:  The Governor of Meghalaya Shri Ranjit Shekhar  Mooshaheary  to day released the book “ The Philosophy and Essence of Niam Khasi “ written by  Mr J Kerrsing  Tariang” at Seng Khasi College, at Jaiaw.

While addressing the gathering, the governor of Meghalaya has appreciate the Khasi Religion though they have the division of labour but they do not follow the cast system. In the khasi  practice if the father is a blacksmith his son or daughter can be a scientist or if the father is a cobbler his son can be an engineer.

Religion is to teach men to be good human being and in the primitive age, people are trying to fine out where they come from, what they are hear and where they will go. The Khasi, believe that they are children of god. That is why the work “Tip Briew Tip Blei” comes.

The governor asked that we should introspects our self and spread the message of love. All religion belief that there is one creator, but people may worship god in different form but the basic thing in human life is to have peace of mind.

In spite of all the good teaching then while crime occurred the governor put the question. As human being we have the power to reason, in the khasi also belief in superstitious but the beauty in the khasi is that you have the will to decide.

The governor said religion is only one part of the culture, religion teaches morality, but some time religion twisted their teaching then come some time religion also teaches fanaticism, which he said fanaticism should not be allowed.(SP News)
