Shillong, Jan 30: The election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Meghalaya Pradesh held recently under the chairmanship of Shri Khlur Singh Lyngdoh, State President of BJP decided that Party to conduct the survey the situation for either supporting any other non Congress political parties or to contest on its own for the upcoming Lok Sabha election before working out the criteria for selection of candidates and recommending to the Party National leadership.
As for the upcoming District Council, the committee was of the opinion that owing the fact that the Parliamentary election shall be held almost immediately after the District Election, all efforts and resources need to be concentrated for Parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile the State Unit of the BJP has decided to assist this Statue of Unity Movement (A dream project of Narendra Modi) the State leaders are asked to co-operate the coordinator of Statue Of Unity (SOU) in the District level and Mandal level to collect iron for the Statue of Vallabhbhai Patel to be constructed at the bank of Narmada, Gujarat.(SP News)
