The BSF arrested Vinod with ten lak fake Indian currency from Borsora

Shillong, Oct 15: The Border security Force (BSF) posted at BorsoThe BSF of Borsora nap the FINC along with the moneyra in South West Khasi Hills District Meghalaya, after getting  specific input, BSF troops apprehended one Indian racketeer namely Vinod Rasali, age 28 years, of the village  Bagar Patar, under the police station  Baligaon,of Gohapur under the district of Sonitpur of Assam.

The BSF arrested him while he was trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh along with him they recover fake Indian Currency Note to a sum of more than ten lahk . From Vinod the BSF alo got Nepali currency, Butani Currency, the BSF also recover the Pan card No. BBSP.386480 and ICICI ATM card No – 46295203295785 recovered from his possession.

The seized FICN was being smuggled from Bangladesh and was meant for circulation in the Indian market. BSF is keeping a strict vigil/surveillance and having effective intelligence network along the India-Bangladesh border to nab the FICN racketeers.

Besides above, during last week, BSF troops on Meghalaya border also seized 888 Btls Liquor, 53 Cattle heads, Motorcycle, Phensedyl, Forest produce  and other contraband items of the estimated value Rs. 10,42,000/- (Ten lacs forty-two thousand only), while being smuggled out from India to Bangladesh. BSF has always endeavored to keep a strict vigil and deny any smuggling of psychotropic substances/ narcotics/alcohol to Bangladesh and in this task BSF is also seeking the help of BGB.

Apprehended person and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land. (SP News)
