Tura Sept 24: The BSF hold 3rd phase Civic Action Programme held at Village-Dakopgre, Old Police Line,Tura District-West Garo Hills, Tura, Meghalaya by 120 Bn Cntral Reserve Police Force, Tura, Meghalaya.
In this 3rd phase of the Civic Action Programme they provided facilities of Drinking Water Basic Precautions i.e. Installation of water tank (PVC), connecting pipes & Tap etc. for the use of local people of Dakopgre Village locality in Tura.
In the Civic Action Programme large number of local public, Village Headman, Officials of various departments of West Garo Hills, i.e. Administration, Police, Education, Radio Station, Doordarshan, Prasar Bharti, ALL India Radio, Print Media, SIB, Govt Press, PHE Deptt., Employment CRPF, & Distinguish Guests Dean, College of Home Science, Dy Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Tura, Village Head Man, Dakopgre Village, ASP.
Chief Guest Shri H. Nongpluh, IPS Grace the occasion as Chief Guest. Cultural events with presentation of Garo Tribe Wangala dance & Songs exhibited by P.A. Sangma Music Foundation Academy, Tura is an awesome contribution on the part of local public.

the Civic Action Programme as under-“ In given norms & directions of Govt.
of India, Ministry of Home Affairs our Unit 120 Bn CRPF & its Coys which is
deployed in Districts of Garo Hills, Division, Meghalaya. In our Civic Action
Programme 3rd Phase Programme we provided facilities of Drinking Water Basic Precautions & System i.e. Installation of Water tank (PVC), connecting pipes with Taps at Old Police line area in Dakopgre, Village, Tura District-West Garo Hills,Meghalaya.
It involves cost of Rs 1 lac. In our last 4th phase programme at Mahendraganj District- South-West Garo Hills, we will organize Active Free Medical check up camp/ Mobile Squads by CRPF Medical Officer of 120 Bn CRPF & Composite Hospital Guwahati, CRPF with the help of Doctors of District Civil Hospitals/CHC etc. including distribution of free medicines of worth Rs 1 lakh By 120 Bn CRPF & Medical Officers of Local/Districts/State Administration.
The First phase programme successfully completed earlier on 09/09/2013 at Williamnagar, Distt- East Garo Hills where we provided Table Tennis Sports Facility in four Co-Ed Higher/Secondary School & Second phase programme completed on 16/09/2013 at Baghmara District-South Garo Hills, Meghalaya where we provided Sports facilities i.e. Football, VolleyBall, Badminton & Carom Board with accessories. The mission of undertaking such programme in local area of deployment is contribution of our services for the good to the society as a part of community service & propagation of Peace, Progress, and Communal harmony”. Meghalaya State Police addressed the local public & audience about versatile role & responsibility of our 120Bn CRPF to accomplish & contribute community services in all theatres of conflict to preserve Peace & Tranquillity in Local area & maintenance of Law & Order in Garo Hills, Division of Meghalaya since 2008 in addition to community service.
Our Distinguish guests Village Head Man Dakopgre Village also addressed in Garo vernacular about activities & role of CRPF & also expressed their best wishes, appreciated activites of our Civic Action Programme 2012-13.
