The BSF nabbed three Phensedyl smugglers

Shillong, Feb 11: Three Indian Phensedyl smugglers were apprehended by BSF troops of BOP Kachuadogri in West Garo Hills distt of Meghalaya,while they were moving in  a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing Regd No ML-07-A-4483 near  Kachuadogri on 10 Feb 2014.

The apprehended persons were identified as Abdul Faruk (34 yrs) s/o late Abdul Kamya and Abdul Awal (38 yrs) s/o Abdul Hai both r/o Vill- Jurdanga, PO & Ps- Mankachar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam) and Mukul Hassan (19 yrs) s/o Rashidul Islam r/o Vill- Majnerchar-2, PO & PS- Mahenderganj, Distt- South West Garo Hills (Meghalaya).

During search of vehicle, party recovered 563 Btls of Phensydyl worth Rs. 2,25,200/- and Mobile -03 Nos with 03 Indian SIM and Indian currency Rs 17,500/-. On their lead information, in follow up Operation, BSF Troops apprehended two more smugglers identified as  Bishen N. Sangma(26 yrs) s/o Singran M. Marak r/o Vill- Cherring Para and Cheng R. Marak aged 20 yrs s/o Pinwin Ch. Marak r/o Vill-Mukbari Para, both R/O- Gasuapara, Dist- South West Garo Hills  from area of BOP Jatrakona, when they came to receive this consignment.

These phensedyles were being brought from Mankachar area of Assam to Border area of Meghalaya for smuggling to Bangladesh where it fetches higher value. Apprehended person and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
