The BSF seized five lakh FICN from South Garo Hills

Shillong, May 15: Border Security Force party of South Garo Hills District deployed at Border Out Post (BOP) Baghmara  seized Indian currency Notes worth Rs. 5,00,000/- on zero line at about on Wednesday.

The suspected Bangladeshi could manage to escape to Bangladesh taking advantage of darkness. When seized currency checked by SBI, Baghmara, currency worth Rs. 4,500/- (2X1000 and 5X500) were found FICN.

According to reliable sources the seized money was an extortion money being carried by a linkman of IIG. Seized currency notes have been handed over to the Police station  Baghmara for further disposal and legal action as per the law of land.(SP News)
