Shillong, Nov 13: The Meghalaya cabinet has decide numerous items in its meeting on Wednesday. Addressing reporters, Meghalaya Chief minister Dr. Mukul sangma said, “ The cabinet has discussed about numerous issues some of which are the regularization and extension of services necessitated to be given by General administration Department in respect of Meghalaya house Mumbai.”
Proposed list of holidays for the calendar year 2014 was also discussed in the cabinet. GAD Minister HDR Lyngdoh said, the cabinet has declared 20 days proposed list of holidays for 2014.
The Chief Minister said, “Another item came in front of cabinet is the appointment of Lecturer of Shillong Polytechnic on Adhoc basis.”
Extension of service for one of the incumbent who is appointment on contractual basis as officer on special duty in Meghalaya House Guwahati.
“One Smt Lyngdoh who was Under secretary incharge of Meghalaya House Guwahati retired last year and since than there is no incumbent to replace her so for time being we have extend her service on contractual basis for six months upto April, said GAD Minister HDR Lyngdoh.(SP News)
