Shillong, August 14: ‘Career Track Eduyearbook 2013’ an annual career handbook of Northeast, published for the benefit of the students of the region has been officially launched in the city here on Tuesday.
In a press conference held at the shillong Press Club, Jasmine Barman a convener said that the book aims at catering the needs of the young students in their examinations and career options.
“This book started in 2012 and was also nominated in India Education Awards in the category of Best Education Sector Publication,” Barman informed.
Barman further said, “This year’s edition is a compilation of career information contributed both by national and international career practitioners. The book is recommended by the education department for all school and college libraries of Assam and Manipur.”
Barman also emphasized that, “We are willing to translate the book in the local language if the state government is willing to bear the cost. We only wish that the benefits should reach the students for whom the entire exercise is being done.”(SP News)
