Shillong, May 11: The cashier of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Mr Francis Khongwir, who was alleged of misappropriation the assembly found to the tune of forty lakh on Friday surrender himself to the state police.
The Superintendent of police East Khasi Hills told SP News Agency that Mr Khongwir come to the office and surrender himself before the police.
The Assembly secretariat after knowing that the assembly found was miss appropriate the Secretary of the Assembly file an FIR with the Meghalaya State police against Mr Khongwir who hold the post of cashier in the Assembly.
The found that was alleged that he has miss appropriate is mostly the Discretionary grant of the MLA. Since Mr Khongwir has surrender before the state police. The police is expecting that the cashier will explain to the police in the course of interrogation.(SP News)
