The Chief minister and the governor of Meghalaya condole the demised of Kong Silverine

Shillong, Feb 02: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma and the governor Dr K K Paul today sent their condolence message to the brief family of Kong Silverine Swer.

The Chief minister in his message write “My heart goes out to all family members and loved ones of Kong Silverine Swer who left this earth for her heavenly abode yesterday on 1st February, 2014.

A pioneer in every field, Kong Silverine has led from the front setting milestones galore worth emulating by one and all. She remains a source of strength and motivation to all who strive to serve.

Her demise indeed leaves an incredible vacuum that shall be very hard to fill.

On behalf of the people of Meghalaya and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to all her family members and loved ones while praying to the Almighty that He grants her soul an eternal peace”.

The Governor write in his message “ This is to convey my profound grief on the sad demise of Padmashri Silverine Swer. Kong Sil as she was popularly known, had a long and distinguished career and served the State in several important positions.

In her demise, the State has lost a sterling personality. Please convey my deepest condolences to the members of her bereaved farnily . May her soul rest in peace. (SP News)
